37 AVH Question

If water gets in the cabin under the floor- how do you get it out? I have looked at a couple and have not seen drains at the step. Can water get to that point?

I have been looking at them and am considering purchasing one. Thanks for the help.

There's a bilge pump in there.

That makes it easy. I look forward to joining the Cult......

It's more fun to back up real fast, and it will shoot out of the bow cleats.

How do you access the forward bilge pump? Mine is on a timer that whenever cabin power is on it cycles 5 mins or so. Supposed to be that way? Why not direct wired with a float? Thanks

It's a pricey little computerized bilge pump that is self contained. Where it is tough to get to vs. the bilge I thought less stuff to break was better. Yours should be an access hole under the pirelli on the lower step.

If you want to put a switch in you will probably find the wire running up to the galley panel.

Congrats on the pick-up! That boat has been discussed a lot lately. I saw it in KW and it looked good.

Wow that was fast, when you said you were looking you meant it! Cool.

I had a 22 DONZI that had a drain plug in the step,,,,,,,, amazing how much water gets there.

Congrats on the new boat!!

The race boat and a couple others have had drain plugs in the step, but they are not needed. As a backup to the bildge pump, you can stick a shop vac over the thru-hull and pull the water out that way as well.

I have mine wired to the power switch for my water pump. I didn't like it turning on every couple minutes when the cabin power was turned on.
