Definitely get rid of Sony... They are one of the worst audio brands out there. I used to install audio for Best Buy and we'd get people bringing in Sony all the time because they were cheap. They were way underpowered and if you tried to run them at 2 ohms, they'd overload and go into protect. They were "supposed" to be a 2 ohm stable amp too.

Once they start rusting and crack it's not long for them. I got the lengths from Pat last week so I could order them. 18' & 22' on the drives and 16' & 22' on the tabs.

Thats what mine is doing. I'm going to take the locker door to a cabinet shop and get some slots routed in it so some air can get to it also.

I guess I should have that as part of my list too.. The drive cable has a crack, but is still currently working. Didn't even think twice about it until now haha.

Does the JL have a fan built in? Those help a lot and if it is a class D amp you shouldn't have overheating issues. They are built really well.

Thanks for the info. I'll get an order in.

It does have a fan. That's why I'm slotting the door so it can circulate some air.
