Seems like you have an issue with this boat or the seller

Who ever bought it did very good.

You can't break the boat and all this nonsense about fiberglass work is unfounded. It's cosmetic. So essentially you need to re-rig and drive it.

The problem is 2 engine packages and all the add-ons will exceed it's value in this economy.

Now the do-it-your-selfer that can build big power will have a great boat! Look at what people spend re-doing late 60s, early 70s vintage cars and at the end of the day no profit.

Whoever got it, have fun! You have my word it is a great boat!

ebay description was short, but many pictures were posted, so , no big surprise for the buyer... in fact, I would have bought it if I had the time...

I have no issue with him..just feel that all the information should be on the table and he seems to skate around certain questions.

Theres no doubt that it was cosmetic and not structural glass damage

I won the auction...I hope it works out!

I am a do it yourselfer and have no intent (or $$) to make it original again.
I plan to put moderate power in it(500hp), it will be a longer term project. I have funds to buy it as it is, but have to sell my current boat to get money for drive train.
Seems like cosmetic work to me and I think it has a lot of potential.

Please tell me this is a good boat!! Am not looking to get max resale value here, but dont want to lose money if i ever have to sell it.

The boat is a GREAT boat and you will be happy. Twin 500HP motors will put you into the mid 80's and the boat handles extremely well. I'm sure Pat at Active Thunder can help you along the way! Had I known the winning bid was so low I would've bid on the boat myself and come back "home"!

you doing the work yourself should work out fine. I know of 2 new 502s after market, I bet you could score for 10 to 12 gs, 2 b1x drives new were 3500 each. I bought one new in the box from the classifieds 2yrs ago. so for 20 to 25grand theres your power. theres deals on stuff too. does the old vinly bolsters and cabin seats come with the boat ie frames and stuff?
