This is mostly directed towards MGH. I've been pondering around the forum, but I can't seem to find any information regarding what kind of power you're working with. The boat seems to run very well, definitely much quicker than the traditional Tantrum. Just thought I would ask out of curiosity.

I don't think there is a "traditional Tantrum". I would be supprised to see two with the same set-up.

fatherb ..he has a Bad A$$ set up... I believe Pat Musi (race car engine builder) put together his motor.
my motor is a 500hp carb w/ procharger..we have it apart for some upgrades this winter. should be good for a few more mph.
here was a quick video coming back in one day..water was choppy..boat loved it

the tantrum is a 'BIG' 25 ft boat..glad I decided on this model..will be very difficult to 'upgrade' out of this hull without spending a considerable amount of $..but to be honest I have had my eye on a few cats.

Here's another video from the same day taken from my Tantrum showing MGH's boat. I was running close to 5,000 rpms and he pulls away like I'm not moving.
GF falls with the camera a few seconds in, kinda funny...
