Default scoop

A simple hood scoop changed the hole look. I was apprehensive about installing it, thinking it would ruin the lines. but the motor doesn't fit. So if you guys were wondering how your a/t would look with one, here you go.

I had to put a cavity in my hatch to fit my motor, I have seen other Tantrums with what looks like a factory cavity. Now with the KE aluminum headers I have a 1by to hold the hatch up a little more and the cooling lines still rub.

glad to see you got her going. Looks great! I'm going out to the island thursday afternoon. Rob at Raybo finally finished blue printing the bottom of mine. Can't wait to hang the drive and go for a ride. (Looking for triple digits) We have to get together and do a tantrum run

Thanks, I hope you see the numbers your looking for. Just don't know if the hulls got it in her. I know my motor went 102 gps in a 29 kryptonite , so should be a nice comparison in hull design when I get her dialed in. My shop is about 15 min. from them if you need anything. let me know how you make out. And i'm always down for a run.

sounds like you need a race hatch that matches the sun pad height, how big is your exhaust?

Motor is just a custom built little retro roller 489ci w/ somewhere around 500hp. Currently spinning a labbed B1 28 5400 on my new XR drive doing 77 mph*.

I put the NOS on last fall for a Radar Run, but had a solenoid problem. So that is a mistery and will be until this fall.
