Trim

Coming back from the RenCen across Lake St Clair yesterday was a bit rough, so I had my tabs down half way and my drive all the way down. I hit some calmer water and trimmed the drive up about half way (on the gauge), but left the tabs down. I was getting 60 mph @ 4000 rpms. On a normal run I would have to go to 4500 rpm to get that kind of speed with the tabs up and the drive slightly trimmed up. If I trim up too much without the tabs I get too much bobbing movement at the bow of my Tantrum.

So my question is, what is the best drive/tabs trim combination for maximum speed and ride quality in rough water vs calm water?

Usually run with the tabs level with the bottom.... constantly play with the outdrive trim with different conditions to keep it nice and level.
