I saw your post before you changed it. That was a good observation and solution.

Truth be told we had cut the "x" and did not know Mercury had moved all the computers for this engine back and up top hence interfering with the lip.

We honestly have to put these out the door with 100% mercury parts for the warranties. However XR shortees would be an option as well.

What we ended up doing is building a new engine hatch. You can see the plug a few posts back. This will cure all the problems and actually make our engine hatch pads easier to build and install.

You coulda left it unedited but thanks for making it a positive note.
