Well since I bought boat in late fall and needing a little love I never got the chance to ride in it. Never been on a Active Thunder before and was really excited to see what it was all about. First day was really windy,almost lost it at dock and ruined my brand new paint work and buff job. Took it out and for being on a smaller inland lake they were 2-3 footers easy. After it took me 20 minutes to learn how to get it on plane we were off. Ran well in the conditions and I ran it through stuff at speeds my 32 Sunsation would not have liked. Ran around for a couple of hours just trying to run her in. After some hours on hose and the first day took her back to my shop changed oil triple check everything over. Took back out the next Saturday. Ran her a little more and got some water in bilge. after redoing the whole boat this winter, fixing tons of things that were either broken or coroded from lack of care. i was about to lose my mind. thought the bellows were bad cause there was some water in there. after looking around and checking the drives we were stumped. come to find out we Had a pin hole leak in water line to oil cooler. After we fixed that and I had a fuel pressure issue(regulator) replaced both of those we were ready. Took it back out for the weekend and to stay the night. Took it out and finally opened her up. Wow what a vessel!!! Hit 90 at 5300 rpm. With 3/4 tanks of fuel. After a little bow hoping it was pretty smooth. Did it again one other time as it was addicting but I wanted to be safe as it has fresh motors. I'm really impressed and don't see myself owning another kind of boat. (Maybe a 37 with some 565 down the road). After a long road and a lot of time and help of my best friend Cory she is showroom once again. Replaced or fixed everything that was needed to be done on this boat. She is clean as whistle once again.

Mark neutral on the drives and tabs at neutral on the indicators. That's where you want to get to learn to run the boat. Neutral is the fastest for these 33 and 37 hulls for the most part; and you can fine tune from there.

Tuck the drives all the way, and drop the tabs about 1/2 way to get on plane. Ease it up on plane up to around 3-3500 rpms.

Sydwayz- I was on phone with drew before I went out. It was easy on the phone- hard when I was trying to do it for the first time! But I got her down now. Can't wait till this weekend.

The 33 doesn't need much tab. Just put them at neutral and leave them. In the really big stuff (open ocean) call me and we can discuss before you go. Like Brian said, tuck the drives in to get on plane then from three to seven is the range. To turn hard, slow first, down to 3 and cut it. This is a steped boat that will turn.

After all the phone conversations, doubts, questions, and hard work you have been through... its good to see you got some Active Thunder blood in ya!

Congrats. To me the perfect setup. 33AT with the power to move it.

Even though its a tad chilly we are out on the water for our 3rd overnight weekend so far this year. I really like the cabin on these boats. I have 2 little ones 6 and 4. And my wife brings enough stuff in case we get lost at sea. Lots of room and really comfy. Loving this boat
