Actually a little under 3" but the air intake (cutout) makes it look bigger. Same hull in other picture. I gel and skin the V-bottom mold and then set and adjust the step accordingly and lay up the boat. We pull the part and flip it, cut the skin off and there is the DDC! Next step is to blue print the piece you see with the step.

Dam it! I should have known better,:lolhit: but I thought maybe you had some old phuck like me that just won't give in to the step age.

Is the step a seperate tool? Do you have the capability of making a 33 no step? Just curious.

I think the step is an insert that they put into the mold, giving them the opportunity to move it around for different power, etc. If this is the case then they should be able to pop one with no step.
