Salsa was the next company to jump in, and that's what I used to have, a Salsa Mukluk. Now, the big manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon, Trek, Kona, and Specialized all came out with fatties this year. Trek's sold out almost instantly. We got 7" of snow yesterday...I'm headed out to do a fatbike ride in an hour... |

Not a new fad...they've been getting increasingly popular over the past 5 years or so. I bought my first one 3 years ago, sold it in the spring, and built this one this summer. Mine is a Quiring...full custom build (as in gave him my measurements and spec'd the bike out to fit me perfectly)...he's a custom builder out of Freesoil, MI.
