37 Active Thunder
Toying with the idea of a 37. Could any of you give me some input on the likes and dislikes and possible differences from 1998 to present. Looking to purchase used, but if the price is right for new, I may go that way as well.
Thanks for the info,
Bruce

Bruce,
Are you considering a v-bottom 37' or an AVH 37' step bottom? The v is an awsome machine just not as fast as the step. You can talk to ThunderDan on here. He just took delivery of a new 37 AVH with Kieth Eikert 675's that put him over 100 mph. The v-bottom w/ 500 hp efi's run about 81 and the AVH 37 w/ same power has seen 88.
The rigging on any of the Active Thunders is impeccable (sp?). The new models they are putting out now will rival any boat in the industry on the plushness of the interior finish. The older ones, like my '99 32' were a little more utilitarian in its finish. It doesn't have the plush feel of the new boats. More straight forward. Don't get me wrong here, the fit and finish of the older boats were/are excelent. They just didn't make them as plush.
What boat are you looking at? There are a few listed on the Active Thunder website. Check them out.

BTW, I love my 32' AT. was just out in some rough Lake Mich water (4-5 ft or more) and everyone that saw me running as I passed them said the boat look incredible taking on the rough water.
AT's of any year are an awsome rough water machine.

Did not mean to leave ya hanging there h20....I love the boat, it rides amazing, is extremely comfortable and handles like a dream. I have spend several weekends on board and it is extremely comfortable for my wife and two kids. The fastest I have had her is 89, with plenty of throttle left. I have had a bit a bad luck with some impellors, and an igintion switch, but other than that the boat is incredible....If you want give me a shout tomorrow-856-767-5159
