I freshed up motors this winter . my question . After 80 ish and it isn't pulling real hard the boat wants to hop it not like a porpoise . I cant get it to quit unless I back off . trim doesn't seen to cure it running 5 blade mercury

yes I added some hp with refresh 80ish it starts to hop / I have prop I think it would pull if I could get it calmed down 28s go to the rev limit 5800 29 wont pull pass 5200

Sounds like a prop dialing issue.

Were the 28 Maximus props what came on it when you bought it from Mark??? Do you know if he had them tweaked??

I got to sets with boat 28s and 29 both have work done 29 for salt water 28 fresh I have added hp thought it could pull the 29s. This is my first step bottom .I chatted with pat this morning I am not running enough trim. Hell I would have never gone to the trim setting he wants me to without his knowledge. will thy it next week

He's got you headed in the right direction. I have a set of 30s that I bought from Mark that are just like yours and they were all done by Bblades.
