What year was the first Savage produced? Any pics out there of them. Any year.

they are hard to come by . great boats noone wants to get rid of them . im struggling to decide if i want a 28 or 32 next ......

The 28 is basically a shrunk down 32. I think the 28 has about a foot less engine bay room and about 3' less cabin. Cockpit is about the same.
I think it was around 2003 that AT cut down the 32 bottom mold and started using it for the 28.

Just like the fact that the 28 is a single. I hear how much guys with twins spend on fuel on a weekend and it is out of my league.

There were 2 or 3 twin smallblock 28 AT's made also.
My 32 AT with twin 502mpi's gets better fuel economy than my single engine(550hp) 28 Pantera did.

I can see that. Those 28 Panteras are a heavy boat. Good in the rough but need big power to run fast. Bet the twin AT doesn't do as well on fuel as the Savage. Lol...

Not sure if i have the first Savage but is definitely the first with twins. Mine is titled as 1999. At 48 -52 mph (most economic cruise speed). My guess is i'm getting around 2+ mpg. But let's face it, I didn't buy this for the fuel mileage.
