AT Reunion!! 3-6AUG2023 Lake Cumberland, KY
A few of us are going to try to get a AT gathering together this coming summer. We are thinking either KY Lake or Lake Cumberland if anyone else would be interested. I figured now would be a good time to try to start planning so we can see what dates and location works best for everyone. I will make a post on FB as well for the ones who aren't on OSO. We are thinking possibly arriving on a Thursday afternoon and using Friday and Saturday being on the water. We have 2 37's, 2 33's and 2 32's lined up for either place we decide.

Sounds fun

We would definitely join in as long as it is mid to late summer. With Cumberland being our home lake I would love to see it there but we can travel.

Sounds good and I'm guessing your number is low.
|
Actually just 6 of us that came up with this idea recently, so we decided to start passing the idea along to try to get as many boats as we can to come for a good time on the water.
|
Sturgis is that time just a FYI I would rather be on the water.
|
Neither Clark nor I own ATs anymore, but I may be able to get him to bring his MTI up just to hang out on the outskirts.
Maybe Pat can bring up one of his new 22s as well. |
Sounds like a good time ,count me in

We've got plenty of interest on the FB site as well and looking like a pretty good amount of people wanting to come to Cumberland to get together. Now we just have to start the count down until the first weekend of August 2023. Once it gets closer I can check on having some shirts made if anyone might be interested.

Cumberland is my home lake. If this goes down on Cumberland, we may try and join in with our non-AT. Any idea where the hook-up might happen? Thanks. Brad. (937)545-8991 |

I don't know if it will be a problem or not with rooms but Saturday the 5th is the annual raftup which draws a big crowd. If it doesn't create a problem getting rooms it is something fun to see.

I'd say it will be an issue. There are quite a few boats that show for the raft-up. We've never participated, but I hear it's a good time. We've possibly got room at our house, but it's in Burnside, at the other end of the lake. Where do you call home on the lake? Thanks. Brad. (937)545-8991 |
We are at state dock.

As a non-AT guy in the conversation, this is probably not a bad idea. Thanks. Brad. (937)545-8991 |

Bencini were you thinking of checking rooms, either availability or a block rate? We will be on a houseboat there so it doesn't matter to me but if everyone wants to do this we probably need to try to put something together so at least everyone knows the dates.

OK, the date has been decided on for August 3rd-6th. Myself and a few others are coming in on Thursday the 3rd to get checked in and unpacked, as well as we may take a ride to get something to eat on the water. We will be there Friday and Saturday then checking out to head home on Sunday. I talked to Lure Lodge in Lake Cumberland State Park and they have offered to give us a room discount as well as block off rooms for us. I would like to get a rough idea of who all is for sure coming, as well as all that is seriouly interested. I am planning on calling later next week on having a block of at least 20 rooms saved unless we need more than that. I think this will be a fun time to hang out and just meet everyone in person to see all the AT's and how each has changed the look of them through the years. Also we are considering doing some shirts or something for the event if anyone would be interested. We will wait till closer to time to get that head count for that. I also have made a post on the AT page on FB, as well. Feel free to message me or reply on here or FB and i will get the rooms blocked off next week. Also once they are blocked off you can call Lure Lodge and tell the you want a room for the Active Thunder Boats Reunion. Here's the room info that was sent to me:
2 Queen bed lodge room rates for Thursday, August 3rd -Sunday August 6th 2023 will be $134.96 at a discounted rate. We currently have 31 available. King or Indoor Pool area lodge rooms with a mini fridge and microwave will be $164.95 for the same dates. We currently have 4 Kings and 11 Pool area rooms available on those dates also. |
The rooms have been blocked off for us @ Lure Lodge (270) 343-3111 and anyone wanting to reserve a room can use the group code 3180 for the Active Thunder Reunion. There are 30 rooms in total blocked off for us and if those get filled the discount will still apply for any other available rooms.
