Todd, That's a great idea for you to pick up the boat & Tracey meet you. We all hope it works out.
ThunderDan, The Airport name is Valparaiso (VPS) How is your boat getting here?
Horsplay, The Big Thirrrsty is coming right? I have to make sure the poles are in the water by then?
Jeff, Are you guys going to the boat show next weekend, We were thinking about coming over for it? Give me a call.

Bob,
Thanks, I want to make my reservation as soon as possible. I am not sure yet how my boat is going to get there. I am hoping that Pat can bring it, or I will have to find a hauler to go get it for me. Whatever, it will get there one way or another

Thanks I appreciate it, and I will probably take you up on your offer. Have you ever been up my way? I am trying to estimate the amt of time it would take if I decieded to drive? I am in Southern new Jersey. I am in Delaware in 40 minutes.

Dan, I'm not for sure but I know it takes 5 hours to get to 95 in Jacksonville, Fl. Our friends with the 45 sonic pulled their boat from our house to Islip, Ny last year and I think it took them around 24 hours? I just looked up driving directions from our house to yours on Yahoo says 1111.6 miles and would take 17 hours & 6 minutes ( They are usually at least a hour to high). But pulling the boat it would be close, unless you pull her at 80 mph?

I pull the boat about 75 mph. I thought it was about that far. Looks like I will be flying. I am so swamped that time of the year at work that I can not afford to take the 3 days of travel(1.5 there, 1.5 back). So it looks like I will have to try and convince Pat(free beer) to bring her to Destin, then get a hauler to bring it back to Jersey. Thanks ATTADJ.

Hi gang TGIF!
Hope you are all getting your plans made for your trip down to sunny Florida and the beautiful Emerald Coast.
The slips are reserved at the Baytown Wharf marina. We currently have 10 slips on hold so if anyone else wants to join us, let me know soon!
As for rooms, the Bay Club of San Destin that I had mentioned earlier does not have enough condo's for all of us. What they have available are 3 - 1 bedroom units and they are going for $150. per night.
SanDestin Golf and Beach resort has the following:
Hotel rooms at Baytown Village. Rooms are $190. per night.
They also have 3 and 4 bedroom houses available. So, if anyone is interested in sharing an actual house, let me know. The prices are:
4 bedroom - $520 per night (split 4 ways would be $130. per couple per night)
3 bedroom - $375. per night ( $125. per couple to split)
Is anyone interested in going together with others to split a house? Or does everyone just want to go to the Baytown Village hotel?
Note, these units are all on the bay side nearest to the boats. I believe they also have some condo's and hotel rooms on the gulf side (you would have to take the tram over) but the lady I talked to said these would be much more expensive. If anyone is interested in the gulf side let me know and I will get more info on rates...
That's it for now! Have a great weekend! We will be celebrating ATTADJ's birthday!!!

Hey guys... Unless everyone wants to sleep on their boats then we probably need to make reservations SOON...
Does anyone want to go together on a house or do you just want to get a hotel room (see prices above)
So far:
People willing to share a house:
Bob and Shari
Keith and Audrey
Alan and Shanna
Dan and Barb
Still need to hear from:
Jeff and Sandy
Steve and Laura
Kevin and Judy
Anyone else who is thinking about going but has not committed yet!
Let us know as soon as you can.
