Atb Warranty
Thanks, Gordo for info on your 25' AT. Their warranty on the AT website is straight forward not a book of rules and regulations like other builders, which really caught my eye. It almost seems to good to be true, is this really their whole warranty or just the cover page? For owners that don't live within a reasonable drive to ATB what happens when you have a problem, do they send someone out and are they prompt to handle your situation? I had a few bad experiences with the boat I just sold, it was two weeks old second time out when I had a problem, and the dealership where I bought it said 3-4week wait I had to lose it to bump it to 1week and I got it back dirty. I don't know yet if I want to buy new or used, so is the warranty transferable? THANKS, JAIME

We do have a AT dealer in the Maryland area who is authorized to do all of our warranty repair work. For our customers that are outside of this area, which is alot, Our warranty is very simple. If you have an issue with something on the boat that can not be handled by the owner, ie not simple fix like a guage goes bad, etc.,we ask that you bring your boat to a reputable marine repair shop and have then contact us for repair authorization. We will then give them the authorization to repair the items. If it is motor/drive Merc stuff, there are plenty or warranty repair centers as well.
There is also the option of when you are on your way to the annual or semi annual AT run, you can also bring your boat to the factory to have it addressed.
Jamie, feel free to contact me with any specific questions that you may have.

Jaime,
I'm going to chime in here because I am very close to your area. I'm close to Sacramento and very familiar with Active Thunder. I've owned a 25 and currently own a 32. My partner and I own A&T Performance Marine in Elk Grove and are dealers for Nordic, Spectre. We were also a dealer for Warlock from 1998 to 2000. We have seriously entertained (and still are) working on taking on Active Thunder on the West Coast. If Pat and the guys at Active Thunder feel comfortable with a warranty repair locally and we felt it didn't need to go to the factory, we would be more than happy to handle it locally.
As for the product itself, I believe it is one of the best boats out there. More specifically the 25 is an animal. It is probably the biggest 25 out there and can handle the rough stuff better than most. I would be more than happy to talk to you about the 25 and probably can arrange a demo in my old boat which is local. I've been in and around quite a few other boats in this size range and it is on the top of my list for what I like to do. Feel free to call me (916) 417-7756.

Thanks for your guy's help with my questions. Al I had heard you were the local guy to talk too about Active Thunder here in California, but before I went to you I just wanted to get my ducks inline, and hear from owners back east. I will give you a call soon . JAIME
