Looking at an AT but I am scared to death because I think every new boat that I watched being built is up for sale now!

What is the real scoop on AT, I found one that is in my price range, but with 5 or 6 of the 2002-2003 boats for sale I can't believe that all those people ordered new boats and then just didn't like them!

Help me out here, what is really going on?

We have number 4 (2003) and are very happy. As for the other new 37s...........

Number 1 - AVAILABLE, owner will probably always have an east coast demo for sale.

Number 2 - SOLD, wanted more room, bought a bigger boat.

Number 3 - AVAILABLE, owner wants cruiser

Number 4 - SOLD, same as no. 3, cruiser

Number 5 - not for sale, ours and we love it.

Number 6 - I believe the owner is happily boating in Florida

Number 7 - not for sale, great lakes area

Number 8 - not for sale, west coast demo boat

Don't know about the rest, but any of these still for sale will make someone an awesome boat. We are very happy with ours. As for the not so old 2002 for sale (SOLD), their stepping up to a new Active Thunder.

Bottom line is - Don't worry about it

Mike, I know exactly what you mean, why? But check this out.
Sonic 31 twin 496HO 7000lbs top speed 76.5
AT 37 AVH twinn 496HO 9500lbs top speed mid to upper 70s.
How can that be? Harry Schoell DDC! Very efficient design and I believe the AT has a 25 deg deadrise.

We are not unhappy with our AT. It is an awesome boat. It gets a lot of attention wherever it goes. We are selling ours because of family issues....meaning two small children. We used to have a 290 PQ but it was a little cramped with the kids. We thought the 37 would have plenty of room for the four of us. Well, I found out with two little kids it's not length you need, it's beam. They like to run around a lot.

The ride this boat provides is second to none and we rode in them all. efficiency of the hull is also incredible. This 37 foot boat with 500EFI's does not use any more fuel than my 290 but it will cruise at 45-50 mph at 3000 rpm. Want to run 55-60, just bump it up to 3500. 70 mph comes in around 4,000 rpm. Sorry to ramble

Bottom line if it were just the wife and I, we would not be selling the boat. It is everything we ever wanted in an offshore boat.

"As for the not so old 2002 for sale, their stepping up to a new Active Thunder"

Todd, that boat is gone as well. To another A/T owner who moved up from a 32.

Number 9 - previous 32 owner and happy.

Number 10 - As you said, owner's 2nd 37 AVH built with Teague Custom Marine 720s. Guess which boat is going to the Powerboat test this time........

Number 11 - http://www.activethunderboats.com/AllPro.htm

Frank is available to give demos through the weekend as well as after the show. Boat ran yesterday with Lab 32 bravos 88 mph. Loaded, everything but a genny.

The new one looks awesome. The Powerboat test should be interesting this year.

I just bought the 2002 37 AVH demo and put my 500HP,s in the boat and with 30 props straight out of the box first time out the boat ran 85.6. We moved up from a 32V and there was no choice to what boat we wanted. Dont be scared,to buy an AT, go look at all the other makes there are twice as many for sale. We were very happy with our 32, but I made the mistake of going for a test ride at the factory, and I was done in for, I had to have a 37AVH. The boat is stable, fast, great for the weekend getaways, and where ever you go you are just about the only one. Every poker run I always had people around the boat asking questions.

You wont go wrong!!!
