That's what I've been hoping for. But I want something I can race when the urge hits, so it has to be capable of more than the average everyday off the showroom floor boat.

I didn't mean to bag on your boat at all. In fact, you've got a beautiful 28. Sorry, maybe I should have been a bit more specific...
I want to build a new boat to test/showcase a specific GM Vortec power. The boat will be ran hard and probably raced on occasion, so I would also rather have a very sparse cabin with few, (if any) amenities.
Because of our success with the 25 Thunder, and after looking at a couple of 28's on the floor, the 28 Thunder was my first obvious choice.
