Default Our first disagreement...

Short behind the dash.

Starboard side of my dash, all guages, go pegged when I turn on my Guage Lights. Port side is fine.
2003 37 AVH
I think it fried my SB Water Temp gauge. It is pegged to the right, and won't come back. Can anyone tell me what the Gaffrig warranty is?

Any hints as to where I can start looking for the short?
Thanks in advance.

Likely a bad ground on one of the guages-the light is pulling ground through the other guages. Check all your connections, clean and retighten. Can't wait to see that bad boy on the Chesapeake.

Ted, thank you. Can this be a bad bulb too? Seams kinda ridiculous that I may have lost a Water Temp guage due to such.

Yes, it could be a dead shorted bulb-happens once in a while on offshore boats from the pounding (the poles touch) but it should have popped a fuse. AT wiring is very clean-you should be able to trace really easily. Make sure to resecure all the blacks-even if they seem tight and clean.

All is hunky-dorie now.

Thank you Ted for your input. We found a broken ground lead on a Volt Gauge. Turns out my Water Temp Gauge is also happy again. The needle pegged and caught itself on the internal set screw. Removal of the gauge and flipping it over with a slight tap let the needle reset to the left.

Syd, do you know our schedule? July 16th, overnight at Solomans. July 17th and 18th - overnight at Red Eyes. July 19th - run back up the Potomac to our trailers all hung over.

Thanks for typing it out Steve. I talked to James, and he told me over the phone. I will let you know what my schedule looks like.

Hello,

I will be down in MD on the 18th. I am looking at buying the new 28 and would like to check out the 37. If you guys wouldn't mind me hanging around and having a few drinks with you.
