How many of us out there?
Hy, I've always wondered how many of us are around and how well are we doing with an Advantage. I just hope that there'll be more than just me.
I'd like to know about their history, hull making and racing if any. Josh |
Re: How many of us out there?
I do not own an Advantage but I did ride in the 28 Party Cat with one of the guys from the factory. There is a new Advantage Dealer in Hendersonville TN and I have got to know those guys really well this summer. NICE BOATS and glad to see there is an Advantage section now. Give it a few weeks to be posted up and the owners will chime in.

90 is a tough number to reach on a 27' Victory..... The best I have had my 27 is 88 MPH on GPS.... I have a Pfaff Whipple Charged 565……. Dynoed at 996 HP & over 900ftlbs of torque at 4,500... I never ran it in the boat at that HP as you will hit a wall with the 27 at about 800HP or so. The additional HP above only hurts drives..... I changed the pully down to about 875, then to 825 or so.... I can still run 85 or so in the Winter.... I still have problems keeping a drive together on the thing.... You will also need good size trim tabs and full hydraulic steering to stop the boat from chine walking as high speed... PM me if you need any additional info.... http://www.hotboat.com/image_center/...80MVC-012F.JPG Later, CJG |
