Default inwards or out

I have a 3100 with twin 300's, should the motors be rotating inwards or out? What are the advantages and disadvantages of either direction?

Re: inwards or out

props should rotate outwards. this makes the boat most stable. when you turn to the left the boat wants to lean to the right. when the props rotate outward the prop on the right lifts the right side of the boat up and makes the turn flatter. also when going straight and hitting wakes the side of the boat that dips down will be lifted up with outward rotation rather than being pulled down further with inward rotation.

The boat is a 1992. I'm running 80 on gps with 28's. I'm still trying different set-ups with engine height and different props in the 26-28 pitch range. The boat used to have triple 2.4's and next year it might get a facelift with big blocks.
