Plum, these are regular bravos with hp gimbals behind blown 509's. I think the key is to not play "offshore racer" too often. I try to keep the props in the water as the re-entry can be a bit tough on the drive internals.

the 99' and earlier were built heaver and are not as fast as the 2000 and up. The bravo X will last if you are gentle with it. For biger power and harder acceleration I recommend either B-Max or Konrad both makes are excellent drives and will take lots of punishment.

Has there ever been one built with Arnesons? Seems to me the ASD6-7 would be a good replacement for a B1.

The Max Worx outdrive is a stout unit. Put the boys from Havaseu on your Bravo replacement list.

my 1997 31 has 1.36 xz's imco 2"lowers on boxes the x is still too low but it dont break the drives as bad as it used too im goin to bring it out this year im making a comeback hope all you ao guys have been safe ive been out of it for a while but look out this summer



I plan on purchasing a boat this spring if I can find one. Do you know of any clean 3100s for possible sale?
