New 42 running a few weeks ago. The boat ran 98 mph. Its on a ship heading to Europe even as we speak.

I like color, and am having a hard time picking something out for my new Nortech, BUT...everytime I see this particular boat it just looks awesome. It has really grown on me since the Ft. Laud show. It is so simple, but offshore looking, tough, great lines, great job across the board from paint to cockpit, and especially the rigging in the bilge. :cool: Jeff

Hey Carl,

Looks like an update was made to the sundeck.
Did anyone else notice????

Looks like air actuated or hyd. actuated scoops for
the engine bay.

Do you have any better pictures of those Carl and how they
work?

Those flaps open when the boat goes above 1500 rpm if I remember correctly. Those 1100's need alot of air at full thottle.

Auto-Meter gauges and not Livorsi ???? :eek: I thought Apache (The Best of The Best) would have Livorsi


I definitly like the graphic/paint very simple and timeless. Some of the latest Cigs and OL's are to gaudy and over done. If someone told you they were going to paint their boat silver with white stripes and orange accents, you would think they were nuts.

Almost every OL in last 3 year has some form of ORANGE as its dominat color in its graphics.

No, the air intakes that were always planned. When the boat was in the Ft. Lauderdale boat show it was not finished yet, for instance, there was no wiring under the dash board. The boat had NOT been run before that show, it couldn't. Those intakes were spec'd to the customer in the original contract. The customer wanted a full sunpad with no crap sticking up so Mark came up with that mod. They open when the boat reaches 1200 - 1500 rpm. Get the full story before posting inaccurate information. Nice try though, I give it an 8 on the Troll-O-Meter(tm).

I think the air intakes is a very cool idea. Think about it, at below 1500rpm, you don't need them, and above 1500 rpm, there better not be anyone laying on the sun pad.
