hey robt. where is apache carl................how did those new motors run?...m.m........

Finally got the new props on Friday. Ran the boat today up to South Haven in search of chicken wings and rum. The new motors run really well. The engines are Teague 900 efi's(540 ci) running through Huber 1550 trans and wet sump #6's. With full tanks(240 gallons), 1.61 gears, 17.5 x 33 props the boat got to 96 mph with a 1 minute burst of full throttle. Theres a few more mph left. Light on fuel and letting it string out the boat will go over 100 mph. I will post pics of the speedo maxed out next week. Heres a shot of the speedo showing the max speed of 96.
