If the price of quality offends you then buy a Fountain. No more sniveling about how another man spends his money.

It's an amazing boat, they now have 3 APACHES, between the 2 brothers. They are great guys with cool toys, unless you own one of these boats you will never understand our passion for them.

The problem with Apache is there is no demand for the boats and the poor sales numbers show it.
In order to stay in business they have to charge an arm and a leg for product, low volume. Apache builds a fantastic boat but it's not superior quality and it surely isn't state of the art technology and engineering.
You can purchase a new stepped 51 Outerlimits with tripple 600's that will run right at 100 mph for less than half the cost.($950,000)
How about this 51 with twin 1200s that runs 110 mph.
Outerlimits poor quality? Not hardly.

Fountain? You can buy a 47 Lighning that will run 117 mph with twin 1075 mercs for $750,000.

Ross Perot can buy any boat he wants and he buys Fountains. The same applies for the Bush family. I guess they don't know what quality is?
If somebody wants to pay 2 million for the boat that's fine, more power to him. I'm happy for him.
The point however isn't about what some gentleman paid for the boat and how much he likes it. The point is whether or not the product is worth 2 million, especially when compared to the competition.

Looks like there is just as much posted about the Outerlimits as the Fountain? Why isn't it the "Outerlimits" jihad" ?
