I have been budgeting for it and it looks like we will be ready to do a ton of work next fall/winter (Fall 07).

You are killing me again with the Top Gun for sale. I would love to have that boat back! There is something to be said for factory power! And the fact that it is a little shorter on the trailer makes things really nice too. If only I wasn't hooked on the big Apache!
Yeah, we kind of went back and forth on whether to sell it or not but we decided that we are going to sell it. All I know is if we were going to buy another Cigarette we wouldn't bother selling this one. It's a great boat and we've had a lot of fun with it!

....Don't you need a boat down here full time?

Thanks! The mufflers knock the edge off in the marina and bay, but I love the way it sounds offshore (and in the video) without the mufflers.

I do need a boat down there full time, as long as you will take care of it when I am not there. Talk about a dream! I would love to have that boat down there waiting for me. Actually, I would love to have that boat anywhere waiting for me. One day I want to go back to that boat and then the next day I am sold on the Apache again. They are both absolutely incredible boats.

What are you guys going to now? You mentioned that it was not another Cigarette. Just curious. I am hoping that it is another go fast because I live through the winters only by looking at your "floating reporter" pictures. They keep me going until the warm weather comes back in the spring. We only have another week or two on the water with the Apache and then it will be time to put it away for the winter.

In post #5 I see some white cap activity. Your Apache doesn't even look affected by it! That is some Offshore powerboat!

No problem, free storage too! Yes, it is another go fast. Anytime you want to drive the Cig fly down and let us know we'll hook you up with the wheel.

We also have a 31' Sutphen Race Boat "Great Adventure" which we will probably run in a few SBI races next year.

It was one of those days when weight and length matter!

I will certainly have to take you up on that ride. As for the maintenance and free storage, that is a great deal. I only hope that you would run it every now and then too just to be sure that things are working correctly!

That's true. The seas kept building throughout the race and it didn't lay down at all for several days.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I have been trying to get a shot of our boat and Rob's boat together, but this is the closest thing that I have so far. Kinda sad considering that they sit next to each other all summer. Maybe next summer.

Anyhow, we are running again tomorrow and probably going on Tuesday as well, but I think that Rob put his away for the season when he got home from Key West. Since I missed that trip I gotta take advantage of this nice weather while it is here! I figure that I can always winterize it again. This is the best time of the year to be out around here. You have everything all to yourself!

I wish you would have told me. I had my camera that day but felt funny about taking pics while you were kind enough to show us your boat.
Next summer.... I promised "Enforcer" / (Midnight Express) who is from your area that I would get some running shots of his boat, maybe we could plan a photo day and everyone can get running shots of each other.

That sounds like a great idea! Any time you want to take a picture of my old "resin bucket" please feel free. I was actually flattered that you guys came over there to see it!
