I have not been back to check this thread in a while, but thank you all for the replies. After looking at some possibilities, the plan right now is to change this boat a little bit so that it fits the needs, but does not destroy the history or look of the boat. We are looking at moving the rear cockpit bulkhead back a little bit to get more room in the cockpit, adding a covergirl type cabin with enclosed head under the dash (where it is deep/tall enough to stand up) and either moving the front engine room bulkhead forward or staggering the engines to get more space in the engine room (easier to work on).

I want to make a few other changes that are mostly cosmetic. Other than the paint, the item that will change the boat the most is going back to the split Apache style engine hatches. This is what the boat had originally and it is what I want to put back on there. We can use these hatches and still leave a little room between them and the cockpit for a small sun pad.

I think that this will work out just fine. I have a quote from Guardado to do this work and I am in the process of getting a few more. I don't know if I can afford to have McManus do it, but I am gonna give him a call anyway, just to see. I want to get this work lined up for next fall (fall 07) so that we can start in October and have it finished and ready to go for the following summer. It is a lot of work, but it can be done in that time. Let's hope that we have a good summer this year so that I can pull this off! Just feeling out the waters. I tried to get a number here to see what the value was and I did not get an answer. So, I figured that I would list it to see if there was any interest. If it sells at or around that price I will buy a boat with what we need. If I don't get any bites then I will do the work to this boat. I have plenty of time to figure it out and see what happens because we would not tear into the Apache until after this coming summer anyway. No hurry, no rush. Like I said, just feeling things out a bit.

$225? WOW!

I've already been in touch with Satan but it seems my soul isn't worth quite what I thought. I'll see if I can scrape together the difference and will be in touch.
