Jeez, they re-did "off duty" again?! It was just in Powerboat magazine a few months back with a full re-store.
Duna! you never posted the full video of Tsunami running upon delivery a few years back! What a great boat . The Teague engine package a tough heavy duty application. "Tsunami" just had a refit, and power now Teague 1200s with extension boxes, air shift transmissions. a Cool package . All the best Duna. |

Hey Tank, " Off Duty " is as "Powerboat Magazine" a bit tired and in need of a refit after two seasons on the P1 Circuit.

I can't say if it's a good price in a bad market.......but I can say it's a great Apache in any market. They are expensive toys.

Great running shots of it here:

Thanks for posting that video. Ed |
No worries.
I was going through and watching the Cowes-Torquay-Cowes races on that site, and came across that one. Too bad the coverage is so short. |

And Flying Falcon looked as strong in the beginning only because at the beginning to the first marker they race is on s.c. yellow flags and canīt go full speed as a warning for other boaters the field is coming. After that itīs all out and FF dropped immidiately so they must have had some serious problems. That race in general hasnīt been much fir the Americans to take home and Errol Lanier sums it up good why in the 1981 race clip. |

Notice how the dash looks a lot like the layout from an old Top Gun.

Cat - you and I love to pick opposite sides of a debate:drink:
I love the paint, it's the colors of the Bahamas flag. Really, I just don't get all the repaints, you buy a classic boat to have a classic boat, why update the paint scheme? If you brought a classic car would you paint it a color it wasn't produced in? I cry when I see boats like Jenny's Express painted, now it looks pretty good but inbetween the orignal and now - ugh! Starchaser - painted white, god no it was a classic yellow Apache, should be kept exactly like it was, even the names being changed, they were classic Apache names. I know, I'm old, color blind, lack style, want everyone to have manual windows in their cars still and what's wrong with a clutch and a shifter on the column? |
Joe I just don't like that baby blue and screaming yellow. And it's just too plain a design. But you're probly right; if that's the original paint it should be left as is.

I know some of these original paint schemes are very good, but I have never been so taken by paint until I saw the new Guardado paint work on JE. Fantastic! Ed |
