If I had a beast like that I'd go tandem duals for sure. Hell, I'd like to get a tandem dual goose trailer for my 36'. Talk about a towing dream compared to the triaxle tag along.

btw, that quad axle trailer did not last long....in fact the ride up from FL when the boat was purchsed what about it... it was quickly replaced with dual tandems that i think are under the boat now.

the 47 left fl on a manning dule axle

Twins=42 to Tripps= 45- bigger and more weight with and its faster.

The guys I'm referring to all had 45 Sonics. They were great boats for their needs. Ran good speed and were reliable.

However, one of the guys decided to put 3 800's in his 45 Sonic and they couldn't get it to run over 95 mph and it blew drives constantly. So, they ripped out the 800's and put in a set of 525's.

Another guy bought one with NXT's and 700's. Not sure how fast that one ran.

One of the guys with the 45' Sonics bought a 51 OL with 3 575's, then another one with 3 600's and his most recent 52 OL has T 1075's. The 1075 boat is faster than all three of them by a very large margin.

I think it all depends on the kind of boating you plan on doing. Those triple engine boats were the most reliable boats those guys had!:drink:
