IMO, lowering the price 10% will not make that much of a difference. If someone was real serious, they would make you an offer with the way its priced now.
I also agree that you have a small market of potential buyers. Financing may be difficult for many people due to the age of the boat and down payment that would be required. |

Best of luck to you with the sale. It's an BADA$$ boat for sure.

all i can say is that is a killer set up , i remember when you posted the thread about having water tanks added to the trailer..
i would have to think you have way more in it than your asking price.... it will take the right person which seem to be few and far... have the same problem with trying to sell my home , not many people want a "building" in the backyard... it willl take that "right" person that want's it...or appreciates it.. i could lower the price so rock bottom and i still would be skecptical...been over a year....bites ,but no sale... good luck , that is a truely bittchen apache!!!!:cool-smiley-011: |
Thanks for all of the input guys. It looks like the answer is to leave it as is and let it ride until the end of summer.

I just can't get over the idea of putting another 60-100K in a boat that I already can't get 1/2 of my investment out of. Being able to swing the cost or not is irrelevant because either way you look at it, it is not a wise move. There are a few nice 41s listed that already have cabins. For 165K I can get into one of them and have an Apache already done with a cabin without the added investment that would be required to put a cabin in the 45. This way I could still be in an Apache (rather than the cruiser we were looking at when I started this thread) and keep everybody happy! A smaller boat will also let me sell the Peterbilt, which could really open up some options (Cigarette, Nor Tech, etc). |
The ONLY 45 Apache ever built
All I can say guys is that I've ridden on the boat several times and it is an absolute wave crusher in any conditions. In the 2006 Ocean City race, I was in the boat when it was the paceboat. It was near storm conditions and the Apache just motored along effortlessly. Definitely one of the greatest rough water rides ever built.

Or as Carl with WarHawk said.......it was 1/2 the cost to completly redo the boat as opposed to building a new one and now it's good for another 15years. It's boating vs. Passion :D Do the right thing and keep that bad boy and upgrade it to your likings. Jon |
