If you are serious about that Riggs boat then call them up again and make an appointment to see it in person and at their earliest convience. bring money to close the deal if you like the boat and it fits your budget buy it on the spot.
Im sure it's a nice boat (rigged hull) and they aren't going to give it away.

You wouldn't expect a broker to know anything about a boat they had, would you?

Tommy

thanks for the advice.

I am just worried about making the trip and wasting my time and theirs if we are way apart on pricing.

If that is the same boat I think it is I almost bought it in 1992. It was at Fort Apache and the asking proces was $45K with 454 mags and 200+ hours.

Apaches are even more rare than Cig Bullets! If you can't find one that suits your needs, do a search on the Cig forum for a Bullet. There are 3 or 4 that are not listed for sale, but can be bought (check the Bullet thread). I have only run with one Apache. They do handle rough stuff well, but not any better than the Bullet IMHO. Either one will give you a good value and not look like every other boat at the dock

Love the bullets but I have decided I will buy an Apache or nothing else.

I am nuts about these things, now all I need to do is find one.

I love the history, the looks and the fact that it is a relative of the big ones, which in y opinion are the most mean spirited and badassed boats you can buy.

So I guess this thing to me is more a muscle car than an souped up Porsche, if that makes sense to you guys....

I am waiting ready to pounce on the first nice one I see

I have been flirting with the idea of buying a Pantera but I have decided after a long drunken night about 2 weeks ago and talking to some pretty serious offshore guys that nothing will make me as happy as an Apache.

Speaking of which, anyone know where Eric Froberg's old race boat is?? The one that was for sale a couple of years ago with the single and the stand up coockpit??????
