It's all relative, too much weigh is dead weigh in the water. Its like a powerlifter, one weighs 180 pounds and lifts 300 pounds, another weighs 300 pounds and lifts 300 pounds.A good rough water boat is a fine balance between weigh/size/power without getting into the technical side of V's. Besides why would it need glass work if it wasn't for weight, someone that tested this boat told me the biggest down side to the boat was weight.

The owner can do as he pleases, it's his boat. But, I don't think OL is the right choice to cut glass out of an Apache nor is Apache the right choice to modify an OL. It is my guess that would void any manufacturers warrenty on the powerboat. What did the boat weigh? It is a pleasureboat, with a light tower, bustle and god knows what else. I know they are heavier than a raceboat, and perform accordingly. If he wanted a Raceboat with a light layup then that's what he should have ordered.
