36' Apache X's, what do you have?
 

For all that have a 36' Apache, would you mind telling me what your X-Dimension is?

I need one of the two; 1) depth of the propshaft below the hull. 2) The measurement from the crankshaft centerline (preferred) to the bottom of the boat.

I'm doing a little research, thanks in advance!

A 3rd engine is the last thing I need....I have enough stress in my life. :drink:

Mine is at the shop but I should be pickin her up this week and will measure. I have bravos, however, not sure if that will be of any help to you.

415 per side. She is probably the most stock 36' that ever came out of Fort Apache. I want to eventually repower but I am enjoying her for now because it has so few hours on the 502 EFI's. I put over 80 hours on it this season and am only at 250 total hours.

It actually runs surprisingly well with the mild/reliable power. WOT was 67.1 on a handheld the day I checked (that was with me, my wife, the kiddo, and 110-130 gallons of fuel (( cooler temps though with low humidity)). Cruise is what matters to us and 3,000 rpms is about 38-40mph depending on trim and 3600 rpms is 48-50mphish. We rarely run over 4,000 rpms which puts us @ 53-55mph. 99.9% of our boating is between 3 and 4,000 rpms.

I actually think there are a few 36's that have bravos. Maybe Roger's old 36? and Tony Montana's? When I was boat shopping there was one for sale in Florida that had bravos on 600's and I ran the other way those things were just asking to pop once the beast took flight.

Not to get off topic on panthers measurement here but I just wasn't sure if he cared what the X was on a piddelly little bravo and whether it has any relevance to his project.

I run the BMax drives so I am looking for X dimension info on 36's with Bravo's.

I have bravo 1 on mine. Not sure on x? Have a link on exactly how to measure it? Also what props is everyone w/36 running? Does the bow want to ride high on yours? I notice I have to run a lot of tab to keep it down.

I'm new to this as far as what exactly it is I'm measuring. I realize I am measuring from the bottom of the boat down to something. Is it like the center of th prop where the shaft is or what exactly? Pardon my ignorance.

As far as props go I am running 24 pitch 4 blade bravo ones and my slip is somewhere in the 12% area (I am gonna lab but wonder if I should bump up to 26). I rarely run any tab other than level. If it is at night I have to use tabs to keep my speed under the 30 mph speed limit while planed out.

I have to be running at least 2500 rpms to be planed out with out the bow coming all the way up. I have found the faster I go the more level she is. At WOT I can trim clear out and it almost seem like the bow is down slightly. I'll see if I can find a pic with no tab.

Panther once again sorry for the hijacking I will measure for you as soon as I pick her up. If you need it sooner than later I can call over there and get a jabrony to give me the measurement as well.

The pic with the boat load of people would be @ about 3500 Rpms and the further away pic with just me is more like 3,000rpms. Level tab in each photo. I usually use a little tab if the wind is causing me to list or if it is really rough, but that doesn't happen that often @ LOTO if you are in an Apache.
