Default anchor hatch on a 36'

Panther, Tony Montana, and the rest of the 36' guys, what do you use for the latches on your anchor locker? Mine has two of the perko stainless latches that you lift up. They freakin break (latching portion snaps off) virtually every time it is remotely rough. I replaced them three times last season an finally gave up. any ideas?

I actually use mine but I don't want it flipping open when launching a wave because it isn't latched.

I wish we had an anchor hatch. We store ours under the backseat, which is ok, just not convenient.

Our gas locks pop open sometimes. We're replacing them with the flush mount. LEOPAJM has these on his Saber and they're really nice.

I will take a pic tomorrow. I have jimmy rigged up a small bungy cord from the anchor up to the back of the latches that helps. I just want a permanent fix.

Also, I reinforce the anchor with an addtional ratchet strap when it is stowed. Not sure if anyone has something that works better than that for additional security. Lord knows I don't want that thing popping out of the hatch and landing on the deck.

I got the pics but I got a new laptop and I haven't figured out how to resize the pics so they fit. The notebook has windows vista rather than windows xp and I can't seem to get the pics small enough to fit. I don't have time to mess with it at the moment but hopefully tonight or over the weekend I can figure it out (right clicking doesn't give the option to resize).

If ya can open them in paint, ya can do it there, otherwise e-mail them to [email protected], and I will do it for ya.

I resized in paint. Here is a pick of the hatch from the top as well as the bottom.

sorry,

I got your pics, but lost OSO access at work, and of course I have more time there then at home, I will look up what I was talking about, it may just work.
