Apache 24??????

Saw the add on OSO. Says McManus powerboats from 24-52ft. Anybody want to enlighten me on this 24 they are building? Its not on their website. I'd like to call them, but then I'd be just kickin tires. Maybe somebody who is currently interested in a 24ft boat could inquire.

Nykamp 01-23-2008 04:24 PM

It's a sweet looking boat, I have only seen one for sale and that was years ago, it's like a firefox Cig.

CMC 01-23-2008 06:57 PM

I Wouldn't Mind Hearing More About That Too !

Nykamp 01-24-2008 06:05 PM

The one I saw that was for sale was an 1988 or 1989, and it was out on the east coast area. I love the fire fox, and some of the lipship redone 20 Cigarette's.

TexomaPowerboater 01-24-2008 06:51 PM

So nobody's made a phone call yet.................I will try tomorrow.

apache21 02-06-2008 08:58 PM

I about bought a 24 Eagle. Bobby and Eric built a few. It appears to be a stretched 21 Apache with higher sides.

Apacheagle24 02-22-2008 09:11 PM

24 actually 23 feet 11 inch Apache

Hi I have a 97 Apache Eagle. Hull is like the old Cigarette Excalibers and Panteras. Very narrow beam, about 6 feet!. Cuts chop like a hot knife thru butter. I bought it from Bob Saccenti! Only about 5 made, would love to hear from other owners!

TexomaPowerboater 02-24-2008 04:17 PM

I was after that one on e-bay a year or so ago and I let it get away. I was planning to play the "wait and post a bid at the last minute" game and time expired on me. I just flat out forgot about it until I came home from work that night.

CMC 02-25-2008 12:20 PM

Is this anything like the 24 that McManus is making?

Those words are so true, but I figure that one more won't hurt. I was looking at it to put on the lift behind the house to run around the bay in. There is not enough water depth at my dock for the big boat, so I have been looking for a small performance boat to put back there with the fishing boat.

you know the deal...and your boat shows it....you seem to be committed like a few other owners of fine equipment.....be it a car boat plane ect...its a commitment for folks who should be commited....good nite....m.m..

Apache 24 454 magnum Bravo 3

@ El indio. Yes That is my boat. Looking a little worse for wear now. Did you take this at TNT Marina?
@ Duck. Yes same boat. It didnt sell, starting bid was 20. I kept in touch with the seller Bobby S, and bought it a week or 2 after the auction

bobo1 08-31-2011 04:15 PM

Apacheagle24 what kind of motor and drive are you running?

DjMikeyC 09-15-2011 11:10 AM

Would love to see some more pics of these Apache 24's...

Anyone willing to post any?

And anyone selling one get at me...

TexomaPowerboater 09-15-2011 01:18 PM

There is a wicked 2006 24 Aronow boat on boattrader. Not sure how in the hell they built in in 2006, must or been restored.

J-Bonz 09-15-2011 07:33 PM

Pics?

Apacheagle24 09-30-2011 04:34 AM

97 Apache Eagle

Single Big Block Mercruiser w Bravo 3, 28 pitch. I will post some pics soon.

DjMikeyC 09-30-2011 06:55 AM

I have heard that Eric Froberg built a few 24's under the Cherokee brand too. This should be the Apache 24 hull... right?

Apacheagle24 12-28-2013 02:58 AM

Since I wrote last time I dropped a Valve seat on the stock mercruiser 454 thanks to it rusting out because the stock manifold rusted and water got in the port over time. Went with the stock block and 454 crank for the rebuild, but installed Probe pistons 10.25: 1 , Comp Cam custom marine hyd roller, 280 duration, Bushed rods, Eickert./Diamond cast long tube headers.(These are sweet) AFR oval port heads with a little extra love and port matching. Air gap performer RPM, Crower SS roller rockers, Smith Bros pushrods and left the old 750 DP Holley it already had. Bravo 3 drive w 28P props. So far it has gone about 75 but still had a lot more. Just the best toy ever ! Thanks To Bob Saccenti for everything and to Mac, Mindy and the guys at Doller for getting the motor done and in!

Bad Ass TA WS6 12-28-2013 08:35 AM

All this time and you still haven't posted any pictures LOL!

JUPITER PULSARE 12-28-2013 09:39 AM

I saw the 24' and 28' molds at Thad Allen's defunct Apache in Del Ray Beach years ago...

McManus Apache 01-04-2014 08:42 AM

I have had those Thad Allen Molds 24,28,36 for a number of years thru Federal Trademark Litigation. They were good designs by Bobby and I enjoy Building product from them.

Mark, in today's economy, I think building some single engine 24's and 28's at entry level pricing would be a smart move!! I would love to see some new "small" Apaches running around...maybe even a twin outboard powered 28' Apache with an expanded cockpit!!

When was the last 36', 28' or 24' produced by Apache Powerboats?

myattitude 01-07-2014 02:04 PM

What about the twin step 37?

Apache Powerboats never had a mold for the twin step. They were destroyed.
