Default Any reason I should NOT buy this boat?

You guys/girls seem to know the low down on all the 41's. I might be interested in this boat here on OSO http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o16407-en.html.

Are there any know reasons other than low Hp engines that make this boat less attractive or something I should stay away from?

I think I owned it in the mid 90's.

If it's the same boat, it was very solid then and the owner put a bunch of $$ into it.

Those III's aren't going to be too tolerant of much more power than what it has right now and you can expect maybe 72-73 mph out of it as it sits. If you're looking for 85 mph, you'd be better off to buy one with VI's and blowers than to make this one into something it's not.

As a point of reference, you may want to check into what the 41 at Shogren brought as well as Kageman. Both very recent transactions.

Thank you, that is what I'm looking for - any dirt and if you don't have any that's a good sign! (LOL)

I understand what the boat is power wise, not looking for blower engines and 85, if it did 70 I'm happy.

Thank you again!

Obviously receipts and a survey by a qualified surveyor will mean everything. I wouldn't buy a boat without an Ed Cozzi survey- especially an Apache. He'll travel- I'd call him.

That seems like reasonable money for a beautiful apache.

Good luck and congrats. I wish, I wish.

And you are right, 75 in an apache is better than 90 in anything else.

Slow down didn't buy it or make an offer, no congrats -yet.

Just testing the waters like on that 35 Cig that kept popping up, want to see if there are stories on it and I know you guys have no problem telling them.

Chris, I appreciate the survey advice and Ed Cozzi.

If its in Michigan, you better get a hold of Nykamp. I'm sure he knows the story on this.
