250,000 Dollars Apache Brave?????????

I just found this on boattraderonline, looks like a great boat with lots of great upgrades, but 250,000, it has to be a misprint?

No Mcmanus built that 28 so it is probably right.

BY U BOY 03-15-2008 10:59 AM

Thats insane for a 17yr old boat.

Viperfitness1 03-15-2008 11:17 AM

ill bet mcmanus has at least that in it when you figure his time, personel and parts. personlly i think that is a pretty bad a$$ 28. if i was in the market i would consider it.. im 3 month into my restore job and im looking back at the money i spent and saying DAMN! i wouldnt ask less tha 200g for mine. but i really dont care about the money i just always wanted a apache 41 my style.

That seating config and the space for the rear seems very odd, were the bulkheads moved to make the cockpit smaller or is it just the way the dash is layed out and the size of the seat that takes up all the room?

R Addiction 03-15-2008 03:28 PM

I was going to say something.....but we know how you Apache guys are:D

The three man is nice but I personally would have a cover up to the back of the bolsters. :cool-smiley-011:

WMF 03-15-2008 03:39 PM

I Think that 250,000 for a 28 ft Apache is nuts, I dont care how nice it is or how much work went into it, that just too much money for a 28ft boat. I will love to see if it sells:D. Watch out John on the Apache comments Texacoma might get you:D

Chris Sunkin 03-15-2008 04:25 PM

$250K will buy you one hell of alot of Apache 41.

Paid considerably less for this and the new paint and upgrades...

Jupiter Sunsation 03-15-2008 08:10 PM

I'll take Hot Duck's 45, paint it and still have 100K to run/maintain it!

WMF 03-15-2008 08:42 PM

I love the back of your Brothers boat John, Long neck, DE, it is my home:D

Now that is one sick Apache! WOW! Beautiful boat!

Nykamp 03-16-2008 08:43 AM

I've seen this 28 many times at APACHE, it is another example of Mark and his crews amazing work.

Comanche3Six 03-16-2008 09:33 AM

If you can't afford it, that's ok.....because I can't either. I don't see any reason to complain about the price. There are many fine Offshore powerboats I can't afford. Maybe there is someone that wants a premium grade yacht tender, and the price is not a problem. It's the right color for the Highlander....Forbes might have his eye on this Apache.

LOL, :D all in good fun.

I thought I remember reading that it was a staggered setup in its first life. I'll admit its a rare setup, but I didn't think these boats cost that much new. It would not suprise me to see some kid from dubai pick this boat up and run it into the ground.

Definately a nice boat and well done by McManus. Yacht tender...a great idea. What was the all black Apache, Bull Roar? That was a bad azz tender there!!!:cool-smiley-011:

Tex, is that you? And yea that sounds about right , some rich kid from the sandbox hammering it into the sand:D

Nykamp 03-16-2008 11:54 AM

I was in BULL ROAR before, that is the badest yacht tender I have ever seen. Bobby and Eric I believe built 2 matching 28's for a yacht years ago.

R Addiction 03-16-2008 12:02 PM

Nykamp, Where is Bull Roar now? Any pics?:cool-smiley-011:

Nykamp 03-16-2008 12:15 PM

Last I saw her she was in the Pompano area by Marinia One, if I remeber right. Sorry no pictures.

R Addiction 03-16-2008 01:02 PM

Was looking on Google...no luck. :p

Best I could find so far....owned by Jim Moran (RIP) Tender for the Gallant lady

R Addiction 03-17-2008 09:53 AM

That boat just screams "Come on, Phuck with me!!"

Yes it does! Awesome looking boat.

DirtyMoney 03-17-2008 05:05 PM

I didn't realize the Gallant Lady was the home of Bull Roar. My grandad once purchased a 65 Hatteras SF from Moran.

Perlmudder 03-17-2008 05:18 PM

probably 8 years ago I was walkin the docks in florida outside of the riverwatch restaurant and met Jim Moran and his daughter, he took me on a tour of the Galant Lady, insanely nice boat, but I would have noticed if there was a black apache on it. maybe he got it after I met him

DirtyMoney 03-17-2008 05:23 PM

Must have been on one of the later boats because i don't remember it in around 92.

R Addiction 03-17-2008 05:31 PM

I was all over the web last night trying to find a picture of Bull Roar on the deck, no luck. But I found all these articles on the Morans and his history. Unbeleivable.:cool-smiley-011:

Jon

looks like a 36, the deck is too long to be a 28.
