Stormrider - Thanks for the pics! Now I get a much better idea of what the condition of the hull is. The engine doesn't look to inviting either. I don't have the fear of the work that would be involved, but the cost may be a bit much right now. Would rather find a nice clean hull of the same year. Would prefer an O/B hull, my biggest problem is where I live - Nothing is near me, anything I find is at least a 5 hour drive just to look at it!

I actually came across another Scout I/O about a year ago that was teal and white, same graphics as yours, but it was in the condition of this O/B hull on craigslist. And it was out west somewhere.

DJ, You can have one of the finest Scouts in existance and its in NJ. A few of the guys here know the boat....there is none finer.

CMC - Want to thank you for the information on your Scout, it is absolutely gorgeous! But I am not in a position to spend that kind of money right now. Thats why I was looking at the one on craigslist, I don't mind doing the work if the hull is solid, but I would have to get it for less than what he is asking for it to be worth wild to me. And I like the hull design of the '87 model.
