JnT, the mechanic was talking all the electricals on the engine.
Sounds kinda like what you originally started with, but the hull didn't look clean to me. So what do you have then?

How did the hull look? Did it seem solid? Was there any blistering on the bottom side?

Stormrider - Thanks for the pics! Now I get a much better idea of what the condition of the hull is. The engine doesn't look to inviting either. I don't have the fear of the work that would be involved, but the cost may be a bit much right now. Would rather find a nice clean hull of the same year. Would prefer an O/B hull, my biggest problem is where I live - Nothing is near me, anything I find is at least a 5 hour drive just to look at it!

Absolutely gorgeous Scout I/O !! If I wasn't such an O/B guy I think I would have called you already! How fast is she with that engine package?

I actually came across another Scout I/O about a year ago that was teal and white, same graphics as yours, but it was in the condition of this O/B hull on craigslist. And it was out west somewhere.

DJ, You can have one of the finest Scouts in existance and its in NJ. A few of the guys here know the boat....there is none finer.

CMC - Want to thank you for the information on your Scout, it is absolutely gorgeous! But I am not in a position to spend that kind of money right now. Thats why I was looking at the one on craigslist, I don't mind doing the work if the hull is solid, but I would have to get it for less than what he is asking for it to be worth wild to me. And I like the hull design of the '87 model.
