Thanks Andy!! I got a Texas boat all should be good!!:drink: I hope you get your boat in the water soon!! I would love to see you and John( Fund Razor) race!! That would make for some great pics!!

Heck, the two boats will be within 400 horsepower of each other. Should be fair. :D
Maybe we can do a long distance tattle tail shootout. :)

Bilge looks great Andy. Hope mine looks that good when I am done.

Couple of backyard pics. Picture with the beach was taken three weeks ago. Our lake is flooded so I'll be wrenching on the boat all Memorial day weekend.

Boathouse in the front.

refresh my memory... these rebuilds of your old or new?

TexomaPowerboater 05-18-2009 09:02 AM

The old engines were old Mark IV Merc 454 365hp mags that were bored .030 and upgraded with alluminum heads. That setup put out 460hp on the dyno.

We went with a NEW Gen VI 502 415hp Marine long block with cast iron heads, used the old: 750 holley's, stainless marine manfiolds, valve covers, power steering pump, thunderbolt ignition, and alternators. Everything else is new - merc sea water pumps, merc mechanical fuel pump, flywheels, Merlin dual plane intake, Teague 3X18 oil cooler & oil lines, power steering cooler, and I'm sure a few others I can't remember. All said and done it will probobly make the same horsepower numbers, maybe a little more torque.

Big thanks to Txhawk; he did pretty much all the building and planning. I helped were I could and just tried to learn as much as possible.
