Out of respect for a place that many of my friends and I helped build from a handful of boaters to a major presence in the world of offshore, I try to keep my visits here just to the occasional peek. But when I hear of anyone disparaging one of the greats of the sport and a good friend, I can't let it pass without challenge. My apologies for this nonsense being here to the rest of you. But Ed's comments are unfair and unfounded and people that don't know all the details have the right to know the facts. |
No apologies necessary. Now... back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Chris or Boatme
This powerboat has been around for some years, and was advertised on OSO for what I thought was a low number. It had low hours, some expensive parts, rigging paint etc! Why the low interest in it? Why weren't there more made? Ed |
I won't tell other people's stories.
But the boat speaks for itself- loudly and clearly. The bottom design is absolutely unique and works unimaginably well. When you full-lock turn it at 80, you're an instant believer. |
Goodbye Sunkin! OSO took the trash out!

As the person who ran the Chief more than anyone but the first owner (I am close to his hours on it because we often ran it together)
All i can tell you is I have run the boat over 80 MPH in 6 foot seas in Lake Michigan and the ride is nothing short of unbelievable and it does turn better than most boats (reverse chine) I have said it before and I will say it again The boat is great and runs out amazing The owners of the company were dipsticks and there actions were unsavery at best. Bobby S will now have the boat in his backyard and he can watch over it (This is a good thing) Best of luck to the new owner it is one hell of a boat |
Hi Marc
Unsavory owners can surely hurt boat sales. I see you sold the Cig. Are you ready for another powerboat? Ed |
Ed,
All that is left in our household is a 16' Donzi and a zodiac Wife is back getting her masters and i am trying to make this new endevor work (only two and a half years old) so no new boat for quite a while for us Maybe in a couple of years after we are back on our feet again I miss all the big boats but in this economy i am glad not to be paying gas, insurance, and boat payments I am not done owning offshores, just on a extended hiatus (I hope ) |
I understand priorities.
When I finish the Comanche hopefully before the year 2099(LOL!) you are welcome aboard. Ed |
