Depends on if you are talking about the Mercury 6 Dry Sump or sending the drive to Weismann to have it done. I am told that the Weismann is a true dry sump drive and gains much more efficiency than the Mercury. I could be wrong though.

When you say it's a true dry sump, does it have a scavanging pump and seperate tank for the gear lube?

I was just talking about switching from a wet 6 to a dry 6. A weismann with a separate tank may very well be more efficient.

Carl
Send Pat a message here. He goes by the screen name Shifter. He can tell you more about it. I was going by a conversation that I had with Rique Ford(Ragamuffin Racing).
