Yep. They pretty much have all the pieces of the puzzle put together at this point.

Do you think the owner that got paid out and the guy parting the pieces out know one another ?

LaughingCat 03-15-2011 01:40 PM

Someone get a moderator to make sure the seller cannot remove the ad, his posts or personal data from OSO until someone looks further into this. It could all be a misunderstanding, but power of OSO needs to step in if we do have a little fencing going on.
It'd be sweet to recover the boat relatively intact. If it is sitting just offscreen with the sides cut-out when they fork-lifted the motors, there will be alot of ticked off Apache lovers, starting with Chris Sunkin.

:)

Catastrophe 03-15-2011 03:06 PM

From what I've read on here the boat was owned by someone in Riviera Beach. And thats where it was stolen from. Going by the phone number of the guy parting it out, he's from Vera Beach.
Kinda close.

No haulers available ??

Somewhere in this Apache forum there used to be a total list of all the Apaches. Anyone know which thread that was.
Wanna see if that boat is on the list.

Can an IP check be made of the classified post and can it be matched with other OSO IPs ?

Possibly not, at least notdirectly anyway. You can put the pieces of the puzzle together.

:)

Screen shots have been saved and the seller is willingly meeting with the interested parties very, very soon.

I would expect this one to come to a close pretty quick. :coolcowboy:

It was something else before it was Running Bear... I believe the boat came back over here from Europe.

Perhaps the boat and parts are here?

delsol 03-15-2011 04:23 PM

there was a thread a while back that tied the 41 3 seater that is listed on Performance boat brokerage's web site with Running Bear.
It originally was fitted with 2 lambos and 6's, there is a you tube video of it also.
I hope they didn't cut it up to pull the engines or worse yet light it after....

BrettM 03-15-2011 06:40 PM

The 41 3 seater on our website is still going strong and is located on Florida.

We didnt cut up anything!!:lolhit:

Razz is for sale if you need a 41:drink:

Has to be more to this story.
The only person using the word " stolen " is the insurance investigator.

I cant believe the person that has the boat and is piecing it out is the guy that " stole " it or knows its stolen ( if it is ).
No one is so stupid as to market known stolen parts on a classified ad on this site.
He has an operating business with a website with his picture on it. He has listed his real name and shown his address.

So that part needs clarification.

NOW, the guy that said it was stolen and had a payout...he I would look to.

kidapache 03-16-2011 09:36 AM

parts

I talked to the guy that has the parts for sale.I bought the drives. he said the bank took the boat. the boat was not stolen that is why the parts got stripped. its hard to steel a 41 foot boat and hid it

Thats what HE said.

This is getting resolved currently so I best not comment.

You probably shouldn't install those drives quite yet.

nebraska baja-- didn't mean that you cut the boat...

so it isn't the same one as you sold?

Is the one that you had listed still running the Lambos?

delsol 03-16-2011 10:48 AM

oh and thanks for the offer on Razz -- very nice boat -- six pack won't work for me though. I'd rather have a 5 seater...

When did he tell you all of this??? When did you buy the drives?

delsol 03-16-2011 01:58 PM

so where is the hull? I'm sure there would be a buyer for it a the right price...

if you really did buy those drives, i would hang on to your money for a bit till things get sorted out. i don't think they're his to sell, and yes it is stolen.

Ya. I'm sure the insurance company will want those back. I hope he didn't already install them.

cig92 03-17-2011 09:11 AM

correction- the drives, gimbles, exhaust, tranies and motors are all good. the boat is stolen.

motors and other parts were sold before the boat was reported stolen.

delsol 03-17-2011 11:10 PM

umm on 5/11/2010 it was posted on this thread as stolen, on 3/13/2011 it was posted that there was an add for the engines etc. ( with pics of said boat in back ground) posted on this thread...
How can you say that motors and parts were sold before boat was reported stolen??

THe numbers aren't addin....

Jupiter Sunsation 03-18-2011 10:40 AM

So I guess the pictures of the engines with the boat and hatch in the background must have been taken a long time ago.... Also, I don't think the ins. co would make a $100k+ pay-out on an empty hull.:party-smiley-004:

SS930 03-18-2011 01:43 PM

You mean to tell me the empty hull wasn't worth $179K?

I'll bet there are some buddies crapping their pants right now. Posting the parts for sale with hull in background. Brilliant.

Just before the cops arrived, I'll be this is what they looked like:

One of the photos showed it on a forklift.
Other photos I believe had it sitting on a work race.
Had race hatches 3 man or 6 man (I believe it was a 3 man but dont remember)
I dont believe it had a name. If it did had a name I dont believe it was shown in any of the photos I saw. The photo set had about 4-6 shots of it.
If ANYONE has this set of photos or more importantly has the photo of the dash showing the "41 Apache" and the Red and White feathers, that would be GREATLY appreciated.
I need to see this photo as fast as I can, I want to check the font and see what the font style was if I can identify it.
Feel free to post the photos up or post a link if possible or if needed, email them would be great too.

Call Mark Adams and go buy the Jester 41 or the Chief 41. Both are 41 Pleasures.

so Not Lambos and #6īs ;)

On a serious note, what kind of diesels and drives?
Interesting that a Race 41 even had diesels back in the day... original pics would be of interest too.

One It coulda been a contender Cinderella story ;)
