Boy, with everything burned out and no engines, drives, tabs, controls, engine hatch, interior, upholstery, etc. I don't see how you could put this together on the cheap. And if you're going to put tens of thousands into her, do you want to start out with a hull that has had a fire on top? (even if heat does rise... mostly...)

It will cost at least $700 to cut it up and put it in a dumpster if you wanted to salvage the gimbles off it. Must have been pretty worn out for those guys to not salvage those parts.

One of my friends called me about a month ago about that boat. The owner had just finished redoing the boat and was on the first trip out. I believe it was an electrical fire under the seat or dash if i remember correctly. I thought about buying the boat and stripping the good parts off and selling the hull, but just did not have the time to mess with it. Sucks for the ownerHope he had insurance!

I called about it. Most of the interior is burned out. The engine compartment isnt really burned. I had him go out and try to poke a hole in it and its still rigid. It supposedly barely burned the gel coat.
You really dont have much to start with. No engines, drives or interior. And, the threat that if you dont put a new deck on it - if you hit any rough water the boat fails and breaks in half...
