She went to WS and Brett said the new owner was doing a full refurb so it sounds like all of those gremlins should be found.
As far as cash I was figuring she went out the door in $50's and War party probably wouldn't go for much less than $90K before someone grabs it up. So I saw a little $ sitting there to work with. At the time I looked at it I was actually comparing it to the jester boat and how much it would take to get it in that condition.
I'll keep my 36' for the moment. We put 60-80 hours on her a season and mild powered efi's fit our current needs better than big big blower mills.

A friend from Racine Wisconsin bought the boat. The boat is currently being torn down completely. So far the boat looks solid except for a couple fiberglass tabs broke loose. The engines are little bit of a zoo. Kryptonite cranks and Carrillo (sp) rods followed up with stock heads and oiling system.

Hi Kris;
Glad to see that it is getting done properly -- if he does the job that you and your brother have done to those 38's it's in good hands.
Why is it listed for sale here then? http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1988.../United-States
Good Luck, and great job on those 38's!
