Anyone know what the heck happened to it?

Perlmudder 12-06-2010 01:51 PM

maybe it fell off the trailer? the bottom is messed up at the tow eye is ripping through. shame, seems like it was a nice looking rig at one point.

thisistank 12-06-2010 02:34 PM

No one knows this boat!?

Almost looks like it sank. Cabin interior is thrased and looks like it was strapped across the back to recover. Plus the gauges look like they got significant moister in them. Would explain why the motors are pooched too. Absolute shame...What a beautiful Apache she was. That bottom does not look like an easy fix.:(

VESSEL CAME OFF TRAILER DURING TRANSPORT

Needs A Little TLC :party-smiley-004:

quicklt1 12-06-2010 03:54 PM

what a shame..

4bus 12-06-2010 04:09 PM

That is the first boat that I have seen fall off a trailer with both drives in tact. Really hard to tell, I know they are claiming it fell off the trailer, I think an insurance company would be skeptical of a boat with two siezed engines falling off a trailer.

What is with the duct tape on the prop shafts?

18500 with 10 days left, any guesses what it closes for?

EXACTLY!!! And the damage to the rear deck is indicitive of a sunk/recovered boat...as is the cabin being wrecked and I have to agree - How is there absolutely no damage to the drives???

The 40 Baja that was dropped from a stand still, had less damage to it's hull and more damage to it's drives that this thing. Doesn't add up.

f311fr1 12-06-2010 04:48 PM

The leading edge of the lower units look real crunchy. Water damage could be where it sat out side in a salvage yard.

Comanche3Six 12-06-2010 04:52 PM

I'm no expert, but it may have barrel rolled off the
side of the trailer as opposed to fell off the back. It's a mess!

Absolutely no arguing that point!!!

I don't even think it's worth the opening bid honestly. Two blocks of metal in the bildge, who knows the drives status. Needs new cabin and cockpit interior. Who knows how the electrical is and who knows the extent of that damage. Delaming at the chine is NOT good though! Guess it just matters how deep it went.

Basically this things gonna need to be stripped completely down to absolute bare hull, repaired and built back up. No small task and no dollar amount.

Good luck to the winning buyer!!:eek:

Sydwayz 12-06-2010 05:45 PM

Perhaps it came off a trailer, rolled down an embankment, and sank in the ocean? :D

baywatch 12-06-2010 06:16 PM

I thought that was the one that was rear ended by a a tractor trailer and came off the trailer. Although, not sure how the drives are still atached if that happened.

she sure was a beauty!!!

Subsequently hauled out, Hit by a tractor trailer causing both engines to seize. Wow! That was a bad day! At least the tape on the propshaft is still ok.

I see it a different way, Tank. The batteries have not been changed so who knows the condition of them and what steps were taken to fire-up the motors. Locked-up starters can cause the motors to act that way, as well. The hull damage is bad but, not beyond repair. Guardado has fixed much worse than that. If it was sunk, then the motors are something to worry about. The drives are a lot cheaper to repair than speedmasters.

It will probably bring between 30K to 40K and probably need that much on top of it to get it back on the water. Between 60K and 80K to be back on the water in a 36 Apache. It does need a trailer, though.

Big Andy

Appears to be the same one to me.

Looks like they added blowers and scoops to it from when the video was shot and when it met it's maker. Really sad I liked the contemporary yet classic look of that warrior..

Has anybody delt with this auction company there snowmobile section is a mess, makes me a little nervous to bid on anything.

delsol 12-09-2010 11:29 AM

At 30 k its a stretch -- lots there to do and replace, salvage value on the equipment that's there would be around 15K.
The hull would worry me as it looks as the there is green moss actually coming through the cracks in the hull -- meaning that the water most likely has krept into the glass.
Not unfixable for a talented individual-- but why not just purchase WarParty 36 and go boating the next day?

The price is right!!!. Although the ad says it will run 85mph. I would think it is probably more like 74-75mph. Maybe the cool canadian water make them run faster lol..

Nykamp 12-09-2010 05:52 PM

I think this 36 also had it's steps filled in on the bottom back when it was new. Like Dave said just buy a good one and go boating.

OL40SVX 12-09-2010 06:03 PM

There's a decent 36 on ebay right now.

This looks like Sunkin's old Apache. He used to bring it around all the time. He never could figure out how the trailer latch worked.

Good find!!! Wonder what they actually want for it? Definately looks like they might want to load that baby a little further forward on the trailer. Weird it has three tanks must have been for Center of Gravity. Mine is a 1995 and has one 194gallon tank.

Panther 12-09-2010 07:59 PM

That 36' on ebay was a DEAL back in 04' like $70k back then but it needed work'...... The boat was redone since then though... It's in NY.

Somewhere at home I have a bunch of pictures of it before the resto.

It's been on ebay a couple times, looks like the price is pretty clear... $119,999.

I think only the Bravo 36's had single tanks

Comanche3Six 12-10-2010 05:21 PM

There was a fresh water 36 Apache Performance Boat that Jerry (Red Saber powerboat) was looking at a while back. I think it was blue/white.....and from the pics it looked extra nice! Anybody remember that 36?

Nykamp 12-11-2010 04:23 PM

The bow tank was an option, thats a great looking 36, love the race faring option also. Thats a twin to my old 36 the 1994 I had, this one was built for a guy in the island when she was new.

TeamSaris 12-11-2010 10:56 PM

The damaged one needs real tabs too

Damaged 36 Apache

Looks like "Here we go again" ! Up for auction at Salvage Direct is a 36 apache ! She started out in Atlanta, Ga at IAAI ! She had a Bill Of Sale & didn't bring enough $$$, So they pulled her out of the auction the night before and sent her to Salvage Direct ! At Salvage Direct they are on auction # 3 ! After somehow getting her a CLEAN PA. TITLE they had Auction #1, she didn't fair so well at $36K ,with good engines and a trailer ! So they had auction #2, where they took the trailer away,& stated that the engines don't turn ! She now brought $44K ! Some poor sucker, that had more money than brains, showed up to get her and said " what the hell" ? "Looks as if she's been under water" ! ! Probably had to pay a rediculous re-list fee !(approx $4K) So now the poor Apache is still "Homeless in Pembroke Pines" ! NOT TO Worry - She's on the upcoming auction list AGAIN ! BUYER BEWARE, because WHOEVER BUYS HER - "GET"S WHAT THEY DESERVE" !::evilb:
