Insurance is tough too. $80K will buy a lot of less than 10 yr. old boat. Trust me, this used to be a dream boat. Now with the expense of running these things and the ability to do it on much less power, it is really hard to consider going back to an old boat.

50% down, you think it would still be tough?

nowadays boat loans are given based on a persons net worth rather than the value of the boat so basically you have to have the cash plus the cash in other assets to cover the vig from what I'm told.

That's a great looking boat, love the pink paint, it's retro.
The motors would turn me away, they'll need some TLC more often the regular 'blue motors'.
But for 80 K, it seems priced to sell.

either way you are gonna have to have some cash...
and what some people dont realize is you are paying to maintain a 750,000 boat not an 80k boat. the expense starts after u buy it...

Exactly why I have an older boat... My membership to the country club costs a lot less than a new boat but still having the same benefits (costs, lol) of membership.
