Apache Trader 41

Does anyone have any photos of the 41' Apache Trader Race boat, when it was racing? I believe the boat was all yellow with a Headress down the side, with a black interior, and a yellow fairing. This boat was run with Stotler power. I think it raced in Marathon and also Michigan, not sure about where else.

MikeyFIN 09-28-2011 02:04 PM

It's the Firewater 41 nowadays still maintained by Herb.

I know, I spoke with Herb and he doesn't have any photos of when it raced either. Boat is now silver and pictures are on Herb's website. Do you have any photos of when it raced? A friend of a friend was on the "Apache Trader" team and would like a photo of the boat, over the years all his photos were lost/misplaced.

I Think I have the only little blurry picture on the docks that circled here. As least couldn't find anyother on my computer...
You might try Freezeframe Jeff & co.

That picture was posted by me, it is the only one that I have ever seen and it is not very clear at all. Hopefully someone else has more.

panich53 09-30-2011 12:57 PM

Wow no one has any photos of this race boat that are digital...

MikeyFIN 09-30-2011 02:42 PM

Seems it's been too fast with the Stotlers ;)

There's different opinions on if it is it or not.
There's a few "important" details differing that are similar on other boat(s)....
But until proven otherwise I'd say it's not the one.

If you' re referring to this one it's not US-1 but Yellow Warpath.

But was BobbyS referring as the Rabbit as the Yellow warpath or US-1?

14 apache 09-30-2011 04:35 PM

Type in "key west apache" on youtube If you can post the video thanks.

does this work for you the one above did for me ?

It's the Youtube "Apache 41 Yellow Rabbit" clip by knotproper

http://youtu.be/tlyg3TN5hVN yellow warpath had the exhaust in the deck not the transom.

offshoredrillin 09-30-2011 05:56 PM

I think apache trader wound up being the black firewater boat which is now silver and at stotlers shop.

Correct and still does. The little pic I got from "Apache trader" doesn't show the rear good enough to tell how it's set up.. the Headress is the same as the US-1 but there's still variables. Also exhaust has been changed in Predator for example to different places so not a definitive clue there either.
Yes we know the "Apache Trader" has been Firewater and is at Herb's now. It has a different fairing than the other 4(?) Yellow ones for example.

How many yellow boats were made? star chaser, predator, us-1, apache trader, yellow warpath. ????? How many had head dress down the side? I thought only two 1 was us-1 and star chaser. Star Chaser had a short head dress because ben kramer said you cant copy mine and agreed on a short one.

MikeyFIN 10-02-2011 06:29 PM

I'd say no as the boat had a flatdeck..this one's raised ? and the lenght is stated a foot off but errors do happen. I lean more on the 44 MSV ?? BobbyS should know... as he's the S in MSV.

sean stinson 10-02-2011 06:45 PM

I am trying to find a side shot of the yellow one now

chewiekw 10-02-2011 07:41 PM

Not sure if this is the Trader boat you are talking about as I cant remember this number being on the yellow boats unless this was after the auctions

sean stinson 10-02-2011 08:32 PM

Forgive me if I have my wires crossed here
