Mine is not a 41 but the hull and deck are definitely glassed together. Previous owner cut out recessed nav lights in the bow and I found the cut out pieces. Holy chit. Heavy duty layup. Overkill for a 21 like mine. I love it though. No snap crackle or pops when running hard. Tough old boat for sure that will probably be used long after I'm gone. Love it!

+1, mines a 28, hull and deck glassed together. Very strong at the rubrail.

Does having four stringers the way a saber lays them out have a benefit over three stringers layed out like apache does?

I'm guessing, since all these boats are still very stoubt that it wasnt significant. I think Saber did it in case they had a cabin so you could have a lower floor in the middle. That many bulkheads and stringers seperate these boats from most of the rest. There is a boat in Grand Haven that is 50' long and has the same amount of full bulkheads as my 21 Donzi

With 4 stringers you can do one tank in the belly under the cockpit floor. With a keel stringer you have to do separate port and star tanks in the belly. That is unless you have saddle tanks located elsewhere. The geometry of the keel and the fiberglass layers overlapping there makes for a very stiff area. I am not sure a keel stringer really does a whole lot. Builders preference if I had to guess.

Saber has two belly tanks under the cockpit seperated by a keel stringer. So from the front of cockpit a keel stringer is added and runs back to the transom for a total of five stingers through the cockpit and bilge. Gives standup headroom in the first section of cabin. Also has long buried saddle tanks. Holds a little over 250 gallons total. Tanks are probley stronger being smaller and seperated.
