Thanks cougarman.
No Prob, Enjoyed watching the build and I know you paid for every MPH you achieved with the new configuration. Spoke with John Pompi years ago, and he told me back then a properly set up twin staggerd only takes 50 more HP per engine than a tripple to run the same speed. So if your running tripple 700's a properly converted Staggered would need twin 750's. Take Care Jon |
LexanLarry/Jim Darr, boy you sure have nerve talking about an Apache, maybe we should dig up your old threads on the 47 you were trying to buy and you didn't even know it was the 45.
I went looking through threads to find the gps pic, glad they found it. if I remember correctly when the hull was totally stripped and empty it was 6400-6700 lbs. |

I saw John run that boat in lake michigan a few years ago in honest 7-9's and he left everyone in his wake. He told me later he went as fast as 104 in that stuff......WOW!

Saw the boat joker owned, and the equipment it ran. I wouldnt down the high teens on it. It was set up correctly and was done to a T.

I am a little late to this party, but, I do remember Little Ceasers Pizza claiming 118 back in the day.... Apace Heritage had to run in the teens too.....
|
Kemosabe used to run those speeds also but I think it's running less hp now.
|
Dont know why its so hard to belive with Drysump drives and the props available today verse's back then, that's what they should run if set-up properly. We also were turning motors little over 6000 RPM Do the math !! One less motor,#6 drive, rigging, about 1400lbs then the fuel for third motor 100gls is 6-7 hundred lbs. Do the Math !!

Ran Apache Heritage with Ritchie Powers,Mark Mcmanus and new owner after freshing up boat for owner and we hit 100mph with triple Merc 900's Mark told me that was the fastest its ever ran
