Used to crew for RDS back in the early 90's when I worked for Bobby Moore (one of the best in biz back then) and it ran in the 105-108mph range with Carolina 1000hp tripples and usually came in front of Little Ceasars

6's and extensive time spent on setting up x-dim and the right props) wouldn't run in the teens? |
where are they? There are some fast ones.. the throw away boats are very light comparable to the kevlar carbon boats. but are they running in the teens? ifso its very few. Allez vite was prob fastest in the day around 105. I know 1 in NJ with 1250's runs 105. thats a far far cry from a 47 going 117, lets be real

My 41 will run 110-mph non supercharged 960hp im sure it would go in the teens if i sent the props out to hering. Never tried any other props on it for top speed they are the 1200hp mercs.

1250hp at 105mph is it a race set up staggered engine boat? Sounds like the set up is off with that power...
|
my boat has 950's an it will run 102 with #5 drives
|
yeah ,starchaser is 1 of the light boats. I'm not saying there arent fast ones, but they are few.. and definitely not a twin 47

Funny, in the 80s when the 41 hulls where designed...They where not thinking 115 + speeds...The designers, The original designer...
